Starborn Creations is a unique gemstone jewelry online store that sells jewelry, home decor, and loose stones. They use two Barn2 plugins to help make their store more successful:

How our plugins solved their problem

Starborn Creations needed a way to show product filters not only on their shop page, but also on category pages (see example).

Since the company sells products made from a variety of gemstones, fossils, crystals, and minerals, they were looking for a way to let customers narrow down their search by price range, stone name, birthstone directly on the shop page.

Starborn's customers spend a lot of time on category pages because many wholesalers like to focus on certain stones. The category page filters allow customers to tailor their selections based on product data such as stone, color, ring size, and so on.

When a customer lands on the main shop page or one of the category pages, they can use the various product filters to narrow down their search. For example, if someone is looking for jewelry with a Blue Topaz stone and Sterling Silver base material that’s under $150, they can set the filter options accordingly to only see products that fit that criteria. Customers can also clear specific filters or all filters using the clear filter options.

Omnifoto.nl / Masters of Light is a Dutch top-rated and highly specialized supplier, in filters for Landscape Photography of the excellent HAIDA Filter- and the handmade LEE Filter series.

Omnifoto required a plugin that would immediately indicate on the shop and category pages whether an item is in stock. Previously, customers had to visit each individual product page to see whether an item was available. To save them time, Omnifoto wanted to display this information directly on the main shop pages.

WooCommerce Lead Time turned out to be a fantastic solution to their problem. It is the only plugin that offers a simple way to include stock and lead time information on the shop and category pages.

Omnifoto.nl now use WooCommerce Lead Time to:

  • Show the stock status of every product directly on product category pages.
  • Display the approximate number of days when specific out-of-stock goods will become available in the inventory.

As a result, customers can easily determine whether they should place an order right away or wait. Each product has text such as such as "5 in stock (can be backordered)" or "On backorder | Waiting time: X months or days".

Winfrith Bakery sells handmade bread in Winfrith Newburg from scratch using traditional techniques. They’ve used the WooCommerce Fast Cart plugin to create a one-page shop. It enables customers to checkout without needing to move between web pages.

How our plugin solved their problem

Winfrith Bakery was looking for a way to make it easy for their customers to buy bread, buns, cakes, pastries, and croissants from their online store. Since most of their customer base is over the age of 70, they wanted to create a simple checkout flow.

Andrew from Winfrith Bakery had this to say about the WooCommerce Fast Cart plugin:

"Given that most of our customers are over 70 and not very tech-savvy is a great reflection on its ease of use and positive impact on customer experience!"

They installed the Fast Cart plugin on their WooCommerce store to create a one-page shop where customers can checkout without needing to visit multiple pages. The popup cart checkout feature enables customers to quickly place their orders from the one-page shop.

When a customer lands on the shop page, they can add products to their cart, review their order in the popup cart, and checkout.

"Really working well and had positive comments from some of my OAP customers - who like its simplicity - they wanted a one-page shop solution without the need to move between web pages."

230°Celsius is a restaurant that serves roast chicken and other foods. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, 230°Celsius needed to open for delivery across multiple cities.

They used our WooCommerce Restaurant Ordering plugin to create an online order form on their website.

How our plugin solved their problem

230°Celsius delivers whole roast chicken as well as other foods such as pizzas, pasta, soups, and desserts. They needed a solution that allowed their customers to place orders online for delivery.

They used our WooCommerce Restaurant Ordering plugin to list food items on their website on the Menu page. When a customer lands on the page, they can view all items or choose to see only vegetarian options or only non-vegetarian options.

The different food items are sorted under categories including Roasted Meals, Keto Diet Meals, Stuffings & Sides, Entrees, and Desserts. This makes it easy for customers to quickly find the food items they’d like to order.

Customers can view each food item’s title, description, price, and add to cart icon. If they’d like to add a product to their cart, they can simply click the (+) icon next to each food item.

The developer added a custom floating sidebar to the menu page to enhance the customer’s experience. It allows customers to jump to a different category quickly.

Arts Active is a registered charity that supports people looking to enjoy the arts in a variety of different ways. They used our Document Library Pro plugin to create a front-end resource hub for visitors and share downloadable documents.

How our plugin solved their problem

Arts Active needed a way of allowing website users easy access to their arts resource hub. They were looking for a plugin that would allow users to easily search the resource hub to find the right document quickly.

In addition, they wanted a document library plugin that supported various forms of media for download and for linking. This allowed them to have the Download button download a PDF and link to an accompanying video. Since Arts Active puts everything out bilingually, they were able to offer multiple documents by setting the Download link as a ZIP file.

The resource hub has columns for each document’s image, title, excerpt, categories, tags, and download link.

When a visitor lands on the Resources page, they can choose from tags and categories using the filter options above the resource hub. Visitors also have the option to search the resource hub for a specific document using the search box. The document titles are clickable which means visitors can click them to learn more about the resource before downloading it.

The resource hub lists 25 documents per page and has a total of 4 pages that visitors can navigate to using the pagination options below the resource hub. The table is also sortable which means visitors can sort by any column in the table.
