Can I use WooCommerce Wholesale Pro on a multisite and sync inventory and prices across stores?
Most people run WooCommerce Wholesale Pro on a standalone WordPress installation because it allows you to have different customer groups - each with their own pricing - on one website. This means that in most cases, there is no need to set up WordPress multisite for your wholesale store.
However, some people still need to use a multisite - for example if they are running multiple wholesale stores, each with a different domain name. In this case, you would need to set up a WordPress multisite as follows:
Syncing wholesale pricing
WooCommerce Wholesale Pro will not sync pricing across multiple sites within a multisite. As a result, you should set up the wholesale pricing rules separately for each site.
This shouldn't take you long because you can set up global or category-level pricing for each role. If you need to set up product-specific wholesale pricing then you can save time by using the Setary bulk editor, which lets you bulk-update wholesale prices from a spreadsheet editor and sync changes across multiple stores.
Syncing product inventory and stock
Again, WooCommerce Wholesale Pro will not sync inventory or stock levels across the sites within your multisite. Instead, you can achieve this using a different tool which is compatible with WooCommerce Wholesale Pro:
- Setary bulk editor - Quickly update stock levels for each product and variation from the spreadsheet editor, and copy your changes to the other stores. Setary integrates with WooCommerce Wholesale Pro so you can use it to set product-level wholesale prices and then copy them to the other stores; or you can rely on WooCommerce Wholesale Pro's built-in role and category-level discounts instead of setting product-specific wholesale prices.
- Central Stock for WooCommerce - Manage the stock for all your stores from one centralized location. (You will still need to set the wholesale discounts per site, as described in the previous section.)
- WooMultistore - Run multiple online stores by syncing everything from the main network site. (You will still need to set the wholesale discounts per site, as described in the previous section.)
