Can I add tooltips/hover text to the table?
Our table plugins WooCommerce Product Table, Posts Table Pro and Document Library Pro all work with the free WordPress Tooltips plugin. This is an excellent option if you want users to be able to hover over some text to view more information in a tooltip.
Add tooltips to your tables as follows:
- Install WordPress Tooltips and use the tooltip icon to add a tooltip to any of the text fields in your table. (For example, this might be the product short or long description if you're using WooCommerce Product Table, or the main post content if you're using Posts Table Pro.)
- Enable the 'Shortcodes' option on the WooCommerce Product Table/Posts Table Pro plugin settings page.
- Disable the 'Lazy load' option on the WooCommerce Product Table/Posts Table Pro plugin settings page. This is important because Simple Tooltips only works when lazy load is disabled.
