There's a 404 error on the single document page

The Document Library Pro plugin creates an individual page for each document. Depending on your link settings, users can access this by clicking on a document in the library.

If you get a 404 page after a new document is added to the library, then follow these steps:

  • Was the document submitted via the front end upload form? If so, then moderation might be enabled and you might need to approve/publish the document first. You can do this by finding the document in the 'Documents' section of the WordPress Dashboard and clicking Publish.
  • Alternatively, go to Settings → Permalinks in the WordPress admin and click 'Save' (you don't need to make any changes). This should fix the issue with the single document page.
