Pre-built design templates

Creating beautiful tables just got easier! Posts Table Pro already offered styling customization options, but now you can save time and effort with 7 brand-new pre-designed templates. These templates allow you to instantly transform the look and feel of your tables, and you can still tweak them to perfectly match your branding.
Why this matters:
- Quickly achieve a professional table design without manual CSS adjustments.
- Experiment with different styles to find the perfect fit for your site.
- Whether you’re creating a product catalog, staff directory, or multimedia library, these templates provide a stylish starting point for any use case.
Combine multiple columns into a single column
We’ve listened to your requests! Many of you wanted to merge columns - for example, displaying the post title above the description instead of in separate columns. With version 3.3, you can now combine multiple columns into one for a cleaner, more compact table layout.
For example, you can:
- Show post titles alongside short descriptions in a single column.
- Create more readable tables by grouping related content together.
This new feature is perfect for creating polished, user-friendly tables that present information exactly how you want.
Numerical sorting
Sorting just got smarter. In the past, tables could only be sorted alphabetically or by date. Now, we’ve added the ability to sort numerical data, making Posts Table Pro ideal for displaying tables with numbers, such as prices, rankings, or statistics.
Use the new 'Column Type' setting to define whether a column contains text, numbers, or dates. You'll find this in the advanced options for each column. Sorting will adjust based on the column type, ensuring accurate results.
This feature applies to both default sorting when a table loads and user-driven sorting when clicking column headings. Say goodbye to sorting headaches for numeric content!
Sticky column headings
Long tables can be tricky to navigate, especially when users scroll and lose track of the column headings. With version 3.3, you can now enable sticky column headings, ensuring they remain visible at the top of the table as users scroll down.
Sticky table headers bring several benefits:
- Improved usability for large tables with multiple rows of data.
- Ensures users always know what each column represents.
It's perfect for product catalogs, directories, or any other data-heavy table.
Enable the sticky header in the plugin settings at Post Tables → Settings.
Hide header row
For tables where the columns are self-explanatory, you can now hide the header row entirely. This option helps create a cleaner and more minimalistic design for your tables. It gives you even more control over how your tables are displayed.
Ideal scenarios:
- Displaying simple lists or tables where column labels aren’t necessary.
- Streamlining table presentation for a sleeker look.
Again, you’ll find this option in the plugin settings.
