Installing WooCommerce Product Options

WooCommerce Product Options makes it easy to add extra options to the products in your store. Here's how to install it, either alone or with the Live Preview add-on.

Requirements

WooCommerce Product Options requires WooCommerce. Please make sure you have installed and activated the WooCommerce plugin before installing WooCommerce Product Options.

The following minimum versions are supported:

WooCommerce 7.2 or greater (tested to 9.6)

WordPress 6.1 or greater (tested to 6.7.1)

PHP 7.4 or greater (tested to 8.3.13)

MySQL 5.7.8 or greater / MariaDB 10.3 or greater

Install the plugin

Once you have purchased WooCommerce Product Options, you can download the plugin zip file from the Order Confirmation page. You should also receive a confirmation email containing your license key and a download link. If you don't receive this email, please get in touch.

  1. Download the plugin.
  2. Go to your WordPress admin, then go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  3. Click 'Choose File', select the "woocommerce-product-options.zip" file you just downloaded and click 'Install'.
  4. Once uploaded, click 'Activate'.

Note: If you have also purchased the Live Preview add-on then you do not need to install it using this method. This will happen automatically when you activate your license key.

Enter your license key

Once you have activated WooCommerce Product Options for the first time, the setup wizard will open. This will prompt you to enter your license key, which is essential for the plugin to work. You can find your license key in the order confirmation email that was sent to you after purchase.

If you don't activate your license key in the setup wizard then you can also do it in WooCommerce → Settings → Product Options. and enter your license key.

If you get an error saving your license key, please try a second time. If the error persists, please search for your error above or view our article on license key problems.

If you purchased WooCommerce Product Options with the Live Preview add-on then the add-on will be installed behind the scenes when you activate your license key.
