Supported themes

Our plugins are designed to work with any theme that follows WordPress standards and best practices. Due to the number of themes available, it's not possible to test our plugins with every theme on the market. As a result, we have published the below list of themes which we test with and guarantee compatibility with.

If you are choosing a theme to use with our plugins then we would recommend using one of these. However, don't worry if you are using a different theme (more on this below).

Guaranteed themes

We regularly test all our plugins with the following themes and guarantee their compatibility wherever possible. These themes have been chosen based on their overall popularity with Barn2 customers, and more widely.

Storefront - #1 recommendation

Storefront child themes

Built by the WooCommerce core team, Storefront is an excellent choice for any website. In fact, we use it for our own plugin demos! It's our top recommendation because it is well coded, lightweight, and has the features you need with no unnecessary complexity. As a result, you will find it very easy to use. It's an excellent foundation for building a reliable website that's easy for you to maintain.

If the default Storefront theme isn't the right look, then you can easily change the design by installing one of the Storefront child themes. Here's a video from the makers of Storefront:

While Storefront is aimed at e-commerce sites running WooCommerce, it's also ideal for any other type of WordPress site. For example, you can see it in use on our Document Library Pro plugin demo.

Astra theme

One of the most popular themes among Barn2 customers, Astra is a great choice and backed by the superb team at Brainstorm Force.

With ultra-flexible design options and the popular Divi Builder, Divi is a great choice for building professional websites.

Hello Elementor
If you're using the world leading Elementor page builder, then their free Hello Elementor theme is an excellent foundation.

Flatsome is a flexible theme with its own page builder and lots of options. It's remains very popular with our customers.

WoodMart is another great option for WooCommerce, with plenty of store layouts.

GeneratePress is more of a framework than a theme, and lets you build amazing sites without coding.

The no. 1 choice for many years, Avada is probably the biggest selling theme of all time.

Designed specifically for WooCommerce, Shoptimizer is a solid theme for an e-commerce store.

Lightning-fast performance and optimized for the block editor, Blocksy is a great choice for building your next WordPress site.

Themes not listed above

Our plugins are designed to work with any theme, even if they are not listed above. If you discover a styling issue or conflict with one of our plugins, please report it via our Support Center. If we can fix it quickly, we will provide some CSS code for you to add to your website.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to provide complex fixes for themes not listed above due to the size and scale of the theme marketplace. If we are unable to fix the problem, we will discuss the options available to you, including:

  • Using one of the recommended themes above.
  • Working with your developer to troubleshoot the problem. If you don't have a developer, we recommend posting a job on Codeable and can assist one of their developers as needed.
  • Asking whether you would like to take advantage of our 30-day money back guarantee.
