Can I integrate the lead time with the delivery date on the checkout?

On its own, WooCommerce Lead Time displays the lead time text on the single product page, and doesn't affect the delivery options on the cart or checkout. If you'd like the lead time to influence the delivery options that customers see on the checkout, you can pair WooCommerce Lead Time with a delivery slots plugin such as WooCommerce Opening Hours & Chosen Times by Simba Hosting.

How it works

WooCommerce Lead Time displays each product's lead time or waiting time on the single product page. You can then configure your delivery slots plugin so that customers can only choose delivery dates that are far enough in the future to allow for the longest lead time of any product in their cart.

Most delivery slots plugins do not read the WooCommerce Lead Time data automatically, so you will need to set the available delivery dates manually based on your typical lead times. If you'd like an automatic integration between WooCommerce Lead Time and a specific delivery plugin, please let us know so we can track demand.

How to set it up

  1. Install and configure WooCommerce Lead Time.
  2. Add lead times to your products globally, per category or per product.
  3. Install your chosen delivery slots plugin and configure the available dates and time slots so they accommodate your longest lead time.
