The live preview doesn't support image galleries for variations
The Live Preview for WooCommerce Product Options add-on allows customers to preview how the image(s) and text they have added will look on the finished product.
However, when handling variable products, the live preview is limited to one image per variation. By default, WooCommerce itself only supports a single image for each variation. It doesn’t include any standardized way of managing image galleries at the variation level.
Some themes and third-party plugins add their own “variation gallery” features. Unfortunately, these solutions all work differently — they store and display their extra images using different methods that aren’t part of WooCommerce core. Because of this lack of standardization, WooCommerce Live Preview cannot integrate reliably with all the different ways other plugins handle variation galleries.
We’ll be happy to add support for variation image galleries once WooCommerce itself introduces a consistent gallery system at the variation level. When that happens, the Live Preview add-on will naturally be able to integrate with it.
Until then, the Live Preview for WooCommerce Product Options add-on will continue to generate accurate live previews using the single variation image provided by WooCommerce.
