Why isn't my discount applying at checkout?
If you have set up a discount with Barn2 Bundles & Bulk Discounts but it isn't showing for your customers, this article walks you through the most common causes in order. Most issues come down to how the product is added to the cart, the discount setup, or another discount getting in the way.
Add the product from the product page, not a quick-buy button
The app applies its pricing when a customer adds a product to the cart from the single product page and then goes to the checkout. Some "Quick buy", "Buy with Shop" and similar one-click buttons skip the product page, and these can bypass the app's pricing logic so the discount isn't applied.
To check this, open a product page, add the product to the cart in the normal way, and look at the price in the cart and at checkout. If the discount applies this way but not from a quick-buy button, the button is the cause. Where you can, point customers to the product page, or remove the quick-buy button from your collection pages.
Check the discount is set up correctly
Open your discount in the app and confirm that:
- It applies to the product the customer is buying.
- The customer has met the qualifying quantity or tier (for example, "buy 3 or more").
- The discount is active and within any scheduled start and end dates.

Make sure the app widget is enabled in your theme
The discount table and pricing rely on the app's widget being active on your product pages. If it has been turned off or removed in the theme editor, the discount won't appear. Open your theme editor, go to a product template, and make sure the Barn2 Bundles & Bulk Discounts widget is added and enabled.
Check your store time zone
Scheduled discounts run to your store's time zone. If the time zone is wrong, a discount might not have started yet, or might have already ended, from your customers' point of view. You can check it under Shopify Admin → Settings → General.
Check for conflicting discounts
Another discount can stop the app's discount from applying. This includes Shopify automatic discounts, discount codes, and other discount or pricing apps.
To rule this out, temporarily turn off your other discounts and test again with only Barn2 Bundles & Bulk Discounts active. If the discount then works, the other discount was conflicting.
