Bringing spreadsheet bulk editing to Shopify With Setary

Setary is now available for Shopify, bringing ultra-fast spreadsheet-based bulk editing for products and variants.
We’re excited to share the launch of Setary for Shopify 🚀
Setary is a spreadsheet-based bulk product editor that makes it much easier to manage products and variants at scale. With Setary now available for Shopify, merchants can update large amounts of product data using a familiar spreadsheet-style interface instead of relying on slow, repetitive one-by-one editing.

For us, this launch is about more than a single app. It’s a key step in how Barn2 is expanding to support merchants on Shopify, alongside our existing and upcoming apps.
How Barn2 became part of Setary
In March 2025, Barn2 became 50% owners of Setary.
This partnership fit directly with our plans to expand further into Shopify. As we explored the ecosystem, we weren’t just looking to build more apps. We were looking for solutions to real operational problems that growing merchants face every day.
Setary stood out immediately. It was already helping WooCommerce stores to manage complex product catalogs using a spreadsheet-based workflow. At the same time, we could clearly see the same need in the Shopify world. Product management at scale is difficult, and existing tools often make large updates slower and riskier than they should be.
Becoming part of Setary allowed us to help bring this proven workflow to Shopify merchants while aligning with Barn2’s long-term ecommerce direction.
Why Shopify needed a tool like Setary

As we increased our involvement in Shopify, one gap became obvious: bulk product management.
Shopify’s native tools are excellent for many tasks, but once catalogs grow, product data quickly becomes harder to manage. Variants, attributes, pricing, and other fields turn simple updates into repetitive work.
Spreadsheets remain the most natural way to work with structured data. They make it easier to:
- See many products and variants at once
- Spot inconsistencies and errors
- Apply changes in context
- Work faster without losing oversight
Setary brings that spreadsheet-style workflow into the product management process for Shopify stores.

What Setary adds to the Barn2 Shopify ecosystem
Setary is an important addition to Barn2’s growing set of Shopify tools.
It complements Barn2 Bundles & Bulk Discounts, which focuses on pricing and promotions, and our upcoming wholesale and B2B app, which will help merchants manage trade and wholesale purchasing. All of these tools serve a similar type of merchant: stores with growing product catalogs and increasingly complex product data.
Together, these apps support different parts of the same operational picture:
- Setary helps merchants manage product data at scale.
- Bundles & Bulk Discounts helps them control pricing and offers.
- Our wholesale app will support B2B and trade workflows.
This gives merchants a more complete toolkit as their stores grow.
Who Setary for Shopify is for
Setary is designed for Shopify merchants who regularly work with product data at scale.
As catalogs grow, even simple updates can become time-consuming and risky. Setary is built to make those updates faster, clearer, and easier to control.
It is especially useful for:
- Stores with large or growing product catalogs
- Teams making frequent bulk updates to titles, prices, descriptions, or other product data
- Merchants managing many variants and attributes
- Businesses that rely on consistent product data across their store
- Agencies responsible for maintaining multiple client stores
Instead of editing products one by one or relying on disconnected CSV workflows, Setary helps merchants see and manage their data in one place, reducing mistakes and saving time on routine product management.
Getting started with Setary for Shopify
Setary for Shopify is available now in the Shopify App Store.
You can install the app, connect your store, and start editing products in a spreadsheet-style view straight away. This makes it easy to try Setary on real product data and see how much faster routine updates can be.
Development stores can use Setary for free, so you can test it fully before rolling it out to a live store.
