Using WPML to translate WooCommerce Quick View Pro

WooCommerce Quick View Pro is a WordPress plugin that adds quick view lightboxes to your online store. You can easily translate your entire WooCommerce store, including your quick view lightboxes using WPML.

What you will need

Getting started and what to check

Please refer to the WPML Getting Started Guide to set up WPML correctly for your site. You can choose to translate your site yourself, send it to a translator, or hire a professional translation service. Or, you can translate your whole site automatically using Translate Everything mode.

Translating WooCommerce products

After setting up your WooCommerce, you can install WooCommerce Multilingual to translate your products, categories, attributes, variations, cart and checkout pages, set up multiple currencies, and more.

If you enable WPML’s Translate Everything mode, your products will be automatically translated along with the rest of your site content. Otherwise, you can choose which products you want to translate by going to WooCommerce → WooCommerce Multilingual. Then, click the plus icon to enter the product’s translations.

Translating the quick view content

After translating all your products, the content of the quick view lightbox will appear in the correct language automatically as soon as you install WooCommerce Quick View Pro.

If you have enabled the option to show quick view buttons in your store, then you may wish to translate the button text. You can do this by using WPML’s String Translation to find the strings that need translating and add the translations via WPML:

  1. Go to WPML > String Translation.
  2. Search for the text that you have entered for the quick view buttons in your main language (e.g. 'Quick view' or 'Customize').
  3. Click the plus icon to translate the string into each of your sites languages.
