More and more websites are including screenshots of their products on different screen sizes. The best way to do this is by getting a responsive design screen mockup pack with a range of mobile devices and screens that you can add your images to.
As I mentioned in a recent post, Placeit is a great tool that adds your screenshots to images of iPhones, iPads, laptops etc. for you. I'm writing this post for those of you who prefer to have more control over your responsive design screen mockups.
We've spent a long time researching the best responsive design screen mockups packs. We have also tried creating our own by purchasing images of iPhones and other devices, cutting them out and adding our screenshots. Doing it yourself is fiddly as it's difficult to cut out an image neatly to make it transparent, and it's also difficult to add a realistic-looking sheen over the screen.
The best responsive design mockup pack we've found is by AgentVIP at GraphicRiver. At only $8, it's incredible value for money and much better than anything that's available free of charge. You don't just get one set of screen mockups - you get a huge choice of devices, allowing you to present your products or screenshots in the best possible way:
- 40 different devices shown at a variety of angles
- Different layouts of devices suitable for responsive design mockups including multiple combinations of 2 devices (e.g. an iPhone and laptop), 3 devices (e.g. an iPhone, iPad and laptop) and 4 devices (e.g. an iPhone, iPad, laptop and full-size monitor screen)
- 12 pre-made examples
- Built-in reflections, shadows and highlights to make your screen mockups more realistic
The designer claims that it takes no more than 2 minutes to create your screenshot, so this is a pretty easy way to create something very impressive.
